American Hockey League teams invade Scotland for Gardiner's Cup
Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland (part of the United Kingdom), was the scene of a unique four team ice hockey tournament that featured two American Hockey League teams and two British Elite Ice Hockey League teams. The teams battled to win the inaugural “Gardiner’s Cup” in Scotland’s “Ice Hockey’s Homecoming” tournament. The AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs won the tournament.
