Thai World Hockey League 2008-09
The Wall Street Warriors won the Thai World Hockey League 2008-09, beating the BNH Hospital Blades 6-0 and 8-4 in the finals. The league has witnessed a growing number of domestic players, and some of them have even become impact players. Taiwan Chartsuwan (D'Pelicans Flyers) produced 20 points in the regular season, good enough to reach top 10 on the scoring leader list. Chantapong Tengsakul (Warriors) were just outside that list, and Chaiasit Tulwathana (Blades) was one of the best players in the playoffs.

Malaysia - MIHF 2008-09
Kuala Lumpur Cobras became the holders of the President's Cup trophy after a thrilling 4-3 victory over the Asian Tigers B-team in the final. In the playoffs, the two teams came from behind to beat the top seeded Asian Tigers A-team and the Dexion Wildcats. The biggest surprise in the playoffs were certainly the Asian Tigers B-teams elimination of the A-team in the semifinal.

Singapore: National Ice Hockey League 2008-09
Due to the reconstruction of the Fuji Ice Palace with a Olympic rink size, the Singapore NIHL 2008-09 season was reduced to three months and played in August - October 2008. Four colorful teams participated, namely the blue, red, white and black team.
