Korean Championships 2008-2009
Chuncheon High1 won the 2009 Korean Ice Hockey Championship for the third time straight after beating the favourites of Anyang Halla 3-0 in the final. The key players instrumental for the victory were Ryan Kuwabara who scored two goals and set up the third and goaltender Eum Hyun-Seung who earned a shutout despite being peppered with shots. Japanese Championship 2009: Seibu Prince Rabbits defend title
The Seibu Prince Rabbits successfully defended its Japanese championship, defeating the Nippon Paper Cranes 6-5 in a hard fought final where the Rabbits trailed by two goals with 15 min remaining. The Prince Rabbits thus revenged the loss to the Cranes they had suffered in the Asian Hockey Leagues two months earlier.  Read More
