IHWC 2009 Preps: Sweden edges Switzerland in shootout

Linus Omark opened the extensive schedule of preparatory games for the 2009 IHWC in Switzerland with a beautiful shootout goal.

Sweden trailed for most of the game in the first preparatory game for the 2009 IHWC in Bern/Zürich, Switzerland. In the end of the regular time, Sweden however managed to tie up the game. In the very last minute of the game, Thierry Paterlini was send off for slashing, and Bengt-Åke Gustavsson, the Swedish head coach immediately decided to pull his goalie, Johan Markström. This gamble paid off when Patrik Zackrisson scored on the powerplay with 14 seconds remaining.

Linus Omark opened the shootout with a cool penalty shot. This proved to be the only goal in the shootout.
