Rosters are updated. Next update in mid-December.

21-11-2010, 17:40

Big issue in the Extraliga, reported on iihf.com

Looks as though three teams improperly registered transfers over the summer (players were still registered with their old clubs), which has led to some heavy point deductions for icing ineligible players.

Bad situation...

20-12-2010, 18:40
rosters updated. Next update on the end of January.

I find the Extra Liga PLay Out format totally ridiculious. Mlada Boleslav dead last after regular season and Kladno was not far after while Kometa and Sparta didn´t make to the "losers" play off for a spot in QF. It´s just extend of a lost season. Why not let 1 or 2 of the last placed teams play a qualify series vs top 2-4 1. League teams instead as they do in Sweden and Finland.

Yes, you're right, it's a quite weird format in case of having that point-difference

15-03-2011, 21:27
because in czech republic there's still too much difference between the last Extraliga team and the first 1aLiga team.
Remember that in the last years, no 1aLiga team ever won the playout series against the last extraliga team (Mlada Boleslav, usually :) ). Brno just bought the license from Znojmo.
So, IMO, it's better to see some (poor) matches between the youngsters of Sparta, Kometa or Kladno, than some extremely odd games.

The top half of 1-Liga is way better than the bottom half.........so the bottom 1-Liga teams must be far, far off of Extraliga standard.

Interesting to see oldsters like Martin Straka and Petr Nedved second and third in league scoring this season. Also interesting to see some other big names from the past - Jozef Balej and Roman Vopat come to mind - not being among the leading scorers.

What the heck happened to Sparta, Slavia, and Energie this season?

Good to see Trinec in the finals. I hope they win.

06-04-2011, 09:13
Slavia advanced to Semi-final, and fougth with Trinec in seven-games-series, so I thint, there is no so bad with Slavia.

BTW, big lost for this team was departure of Roman Cervenka, which play now for Avangard Omsk.
