Interesting to see that the two Emirati clubs are actually winning games over the expat teams this year.
Any word on the team rosters, are there import players on the two Emirati clubs this year, or have they simply improved to the point of being able to win these games (or, alternatively, are the expat clubs weaker than last year)?

Looks like a translation issue, that sounds like the league itself, which is the national championship.

I'm moving to the UAE in October, JCCrown. I've sent out some emails to the local teams. I'll let you, and this Discussion Board, know when I get a response. Hope to see you on the ice.

i've been on the ice quite a bit, had any luck??

    pedalinka:
    Abu Dhabi= intl
    Dubai mall=intl
Dubai Al Nasr=SMALL!!! smaller than NHL
    Al Ain=intl
(exact same facility as AD, but AD is newly renovated with a facelift)
AD, AA, and D Al Nasr all have an old fair grounds/convention center feel, but AD is definitely the nicest of the 3. Ice on all of them is not stellar, but not worse than anywhere else. Malls have a hard time keeping ice, and the AA ice is thin and fast. All the rinks are pretty warm for sure, and locker room space comes at a premium for sure.
