Despite the terrible season from Frisk Asker, they win the most important match of the season and will remain in GET-Ligaen, Manglerud on the other hand will now have to go down to 1.divisjon with Comet and try to earn their way back to the top. Like 'joakim_64' pointed out, it dosnt seem like Comet is there yet, they had a good go at the GET-Ligaen clubs the first go around before they met with Tønsberg who blew them out and from then on, they just never competed very well, there is always next year for them.

And once again, a huge congratulations to Tønsberg.

    Wow what a night!!

Lørenskog wins game 4, 3-2 in front of a record crowd in Lørenskog ishall. 2400, completely sold out and people were actually turned away at the gates. Another record was broken today, the total attendance for Get-Ligaen games this season is the highest ever. After todays game 396 598 tickets has been sold for this season and there is still at least two games left.

Yes Davide. Even tough the club has existed since 1963 they have never had any success before now. They were up once in the 80`s and then again in the late 90 and early 2000`s. Back then they were the laughing stock of the league, in 98/99 I think it was, they lost every game but one and the avg att was below 200.

A few years ago a former player turned real-estate investor decided to help the club. Now Lørenskog has a great team and people are starting to take notice. I know that the attendance is not that impressive considering how good the team is, but these things take time and there was literally nothing there before.
Lørenskog have also built up a preety good junior departement. The Under-15 team won the national championship this year, the U-14 was nr 5 and the U-13 won the league.

What a great season, Lørenskog gives the heavy favourites Stavanger a nice run for their money in the finals, Frisk Asker pulled off the upset in League Qualification over Manglerud to stay up and Tønsberg gain promotion. Great season and really look forward to next year.

Also, I want to thank joakim_64 for all the help you gave me throughout the year, really appreciate it, thank you.

Did something happen to the first division farm teams of GET-Ligaen teams? On eliteprospects.com, they all seem to have been set as inactive for 2012-13...

Next season there will be no "second-teams" in the first division. First division will consist of senior teams only. This is done to try and raise the standard of the league and to make it a bit more predictable. For the last seasons there has been a couple of problems with some of the recruit teams fielding very weak teams in some games and strong teams in other games. For example Stjernen-2 and Storhamar-2 going to Trondheim with 10 junior-players and 1 goalie and then in the next home game they have 15 senior players at home against Hasle/Løren.(This is just hypothetical situation, but similar things has happened many times). This is unfair to the First division clubs.

There has also been a reorganization of the junior-leagues. From next year there will be U-21, U-18 and U-16 leagues instead of U-19 and U-17.

Joakim_64 hasn't checked back in a few months and Starkovs can't cover the entire planet, though he tries amazingly hard to do so. :)

Hopefully Joakim will check in soon and start a new thread.

You are welcome to start the new season's thread if you want to.

    Welcome to IHF!
