    BOSNIAN National team

    Hello,

Bosnian nationalteam only plays the qualification to the DIV D in 2008.
Do you know, if the team plays some friendly matches? And is anyone able to make a roster of the current team?

Also I´ve found these guys, which are able to play for BOSNIA:
BECIRBEGOVIC Haris HDD Bled (Slohockej) 21.06.1991 G 2011/12
HANDAN Amar junior in Sweden 01.05.1996 F 2011/12
UMICEVIC Dragan Malmö (SWE Div 2) 09.10.1984 F 2011/12 has played for sweden in WC

Do you know some more players in Europe/America, playable for this country?

    Hello rama573

Bosnian national team currently isn't active although there's big number of players playing in Sarajevo. They were planning to play in Serbian league this season but failed because of financial problems. They are planning to get back on WC.
As far as players are concerned I doubt there is contact between federation and goalie Hećirbegović who currently plays in Slovenia. Dragan Umičević is too good while this guy Hamdan actually played in Bosnia last season. He was part o HK Bosna U16 team that played in Serbian U16 league. So yes, he will play if NT would be formed.

There's another guy in Sweden, Muamer Džamalija who plays for one amateur team there. He already played for NT Bosnia on WC.

UMICEVIC have not played in WC for Sweden. So he is able to play for Bosnia in WC.
He is rather good, but to bad playing for Sweden international in WC. Actually he is playing in Second League in Sweden. He will be a great support for the team if he will join the squad.

Actually he did. In 2002 IIHF World U18 Championship Trnava and Piestany SLOVAKIA 11.04. - 21.04.2002. For playing for Bosnia and Herzegovina he needs a proof that he started his hockey over there or play at least two consecutive years in the national competitions of his new country during which period he has neither transferred to another country nor played ice hockey within any other country. Since there is practically no national competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina he needs to rest for 2 consecutive seasons. He would be a great addition..no he would be the squad.
There was an attempt that players which moved abroad because of and during the war in Croatia and Bosnia are eligible to play for their motherland but it looks that it won´t happen. Croatia had same thing with Dario Kostović and Goran Bezina but first wasn´t allowed to play for Croatia and second was selected for Switzerland before. Funny thing is that Siniša Martinović was allowed to play for Croatia while his brother Saša Martinović was on Germany´s long list and never (yet) played for Croatia.

Well there is national competition organized by BH federation and under the IIHF. In theory he could play there and be eligible to play for BH but...he's professional and BH league is no better than beer league that are played in every village in Canada

Today i watched the game Spartak vs Bosnia, the first two periods. The result was 8-1 to Spartak, it was cold so I went home (Bosnia have 3 Canadian players). Low level.

Interesting that there's no info about it from the Bosnian side. Low level isn't surprise especially since there's no ice rink in Sarajevo two weeks now. This season Bosnian hockey made step back because of conflict between clubs which caused formation of new league and HK Bosna's participation in regional league. Canadian players are amateurs, they are in Sarajevo by business and play hockey recreationally.

We can call our players amateurs like Bosnian. I think more 7 days will be ice on our stadium and season is over (full 3 months, december, january and february). But what to do, nothing, stadium is made 1969. and till now it is open - fuck.

Results 7:2 and 9:2 (I have asked our Canadians). First game on the net was second goalie, next game was first goalie. Lot of time on the ice there was young 3th line, but some players also did not played (some played in first, some played in second game). But all in all good for both sides that they have some fun on the ice and after game party.
