    Sweden MODO Cup 44, Örnsköldsvik (SWE), December 27-30 2011 (U16 tournament)

    Here's some information about the annual MODO Cup in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. It's an international tournament for U16 teams, and is the biggest tournament in Sweden for said age group. It was first played in 1968, and between December 27-30 2011, the 44th edition is being played, with 20 teams from 4 countries. Besides 16 teams from Sweden, Finland is represented by two teams (Oulun Kärpät and Porin Ässät), Switzerland by EV Zug and Russia by FORWARD St. Petersburg.

    The tournament is now over, and Djurgården won the tournament after beating FORWARD St. Petersburg in the final game, the score was 6-2. This was the third time Djurgården won the tournament (they also won in 1999 and 2009). The bronze medal game between Skellefteå and Almtuna ended with a 3-2 win for Skellefteå.

    Individual awards and All Star Team were as follows:

    Tournament MVP: Adrian Kempe, Djurgården (younger brother of Mario Kempe)
