    France French leagues off-season

With the season over, dont want to keep posting in last season thread and too early to make next seasons, so use this one for transfers and news for the upcoming season....

Dijon re-signs their head coach Jarmo Tolvanen for 1-year plus option year.

Ander Alcaine (G) is out as goalkeeper for Briançon, replacing him will be Ronan Quemener moving from Grenoble. Also moving from Grenoble is Mitja Sivic (F)

Villards make a huge splash early signing Mans Papaux (F) from Brest, Stanislas Aubert (D) from Neuilly/Marne, Jens Eriksson (F) from Reims and Jeff Lerg (G) from Asiago.

Montpellier head coach announces Aleksandr Petrov (F) and Kristian Luukkonen (F) will not be returning to the club.

Montpellier has lost a lot of their top players and just signed a goalkeeper who hasnt played the last two seasons, right now, it dosnt look good for them at all.

My guess is that if he decides to remain in North America he'll play this season in the ECHL.

That's great for Alcaine. Shame it's with the Leafs, though. lol

If he goes to the ECHL, it will be great for him but it will suck for Spain next year as he'll likely not be able to join them for the WC. But if he returns to Europe after, the experience he gained will be invaluable for him and Spain alike.

Leafs might be the best team for him to work this, they have no goaltending so if he plays his cards right he might just get himself an NHL backup job (I mean, he can't really be THAT much worse than Reimer, can he?)

I meant more from a I'm not a Leafs fan aspect. LOL

So you have no faith in Reimer or Mark in da Park? Or Scrivens? Or anyone else in the organization?

I think their stats tell the story.
Though if Alcaine does ever suit up for the Leafs I'll be forced to immediately stop cheering for him.
