    Poland

    Igor Zakharkin announced roster:

GK: Przemysław Odrobny (Ciarko PBS Bank KH Sanok), Kamil Kosowski (JKH GKS Jastrzębie), Rafał Radziszewski (Comarch Cracovia).

    DF:
Paweł Dronia (Ciarko PBS Bank), Jarosław Kłys (Comarch Cracovia), Patryk Noworyta (Comarch Cracovia), Mateusz Rompkowski (JKH GKS Jastrzębie), Michał Kotlorz (GKS Tychy), Rafał Dutka (GKS Tychy), Jerzy Gabryś (Aksam Unia Oświęcim), Adam Borzęcki (Schwenninger Wild Wings, GER).

    FW:
Leszek Laszkiewicz (Comarch Cracovia), Marcin Kolusz, Krzysztof Zapała, Krystian Dziubiński, Tomasz Malasiński, Dariusz Gruszka, Marek Strzyżowski (Ciarko PBS Bank), Mikołaj Łopuski, Adam Bagiński, Grzegorz Pasiut, Jakub Witecki (GKS Tychy), Maciej Urbanowicz (JKH GKS Jastrzębie).

So sad we can't use Wolski now, when is a lockout. I know, that reason is rules, but... it's simply sad, that player, who was born in Poland and he's Pole in a heart can't play for NT.

seems very young and weak. Players have to pay their trip to UKR so some declined call

Wow. Ponikarovsky and Fedotenko will play for NT first time from Salt Lake City. So, I'm affraid, the chance to advance for Poland is extremally small...

Found out that TVP will broadcast Ukraine-Poland, sadly i dont have it. Is it possible to buy the game and watch it online there or somewhere else? Or will i have to suffice with some bad stream?

Actually, both are injured and apparently there are small chances for Fedotenko, according to Ukraine coach Kulikov in this interview: http://eurohockey.com/article/1990-w...direction.html

Ukraine at home and too good for the rest in this group. Looking for Spain and Estonia to continue to show improvement, Poland to continue their slow and sad decline.

Does anybody know any streams for this? I'd love to watch Ukraine-Spain if possible.

A couple of facts about the players competing in this group:
38 - The number of players who have played in Olympic Qualification before (ESP 9, EST 5, POL 12, UKR 12)
4- The number of players who have played in the Olympic games before (All four are Ukrainian, having played at the 2002 games)
6 - Number of KHL players competing (includes NHL Lockout player Ruslan Fedotenko)
7,200- Capacity of the Sports Palace in Kiev where this group will play.
18 - The number of years since Poland last played in an Olympic Games (Lillehammer 1994)

Poland-Ukraine, despite the absence of some notable Poles should still be a quality game. Can't wait!

Poland is dominating this game against Estonia. 61-8 shots with about four minutes left and a 6-0 scoreline. I feel bad for Villem-Henrik Koitmaa.

And...its over. 8-0 dominating win for Poland to start off their campaign. Players of the game for each team were Krystian Dziubinski (Poland), who had 2 goals and was a plus-2 and Dmitri Rodin (Estonia).

Here there are two links for watching live stream UKR - SPN
    http://bighockey.ua/online
    http://hc-berkut.com/eu/

BTW, @Davide, you're wrong about Spanish players paying for their trip to Kyev. I know some other NT must pay for their WC trips, and it's a fact that things are not so great here in Spain nowdays, but none of the player had to pay anything for playing with NT. Hope it doesn't happen in a near future either.

To be honest, only there is one missed player, which could be real reinforcement - Damian Słaboń (he can't play due to personal reason). In my opinion it's the best roster we can send to Kiev.

Unfortunately Estonia sent a quite weak national team to compete this tournament.
Lot of players who are playing abroad couldn´t show up. So we have lot of players from Estonian league and we have 10 new guys in roster.
Hopefully we can beat Spain with this squad, but I´m not suprised if Estonia lose all three games.

katikallulu, thats great! I will be sure to use this link this weekend.

So I guess everybody was wrong, Alexei Ponikarovsky did in fact play and scored a goal. Attendance at 5,217 for the game or just over 72% capacity. Not too shabby in my opinion. Excited for the games tomorrow!

Is anybody from IHF in Kiev at this tournament by any chance? If so, I'd love to see what the atmosphere has been like in the arena for the Ukraine games. The attendance numbers are promising.

Awesome! Spain has already beaten Estonia!!! 5 - 4 in the last minute after a huge comeback from Estonia.
And this time it seems it hasn't been just the performance of the goalie, but the whole team.
    Congrats!!!
