    Time for predictions.
    1) Ukraine
    2) Poland
    3) Netherlands
    4) Lithuania
    5) Romania
    6) Estonia

Poland and the Netherlands could give Ukraine some trouble, but being on home ice and having a deeper roster will ultimately see Ukraine through. I think Lithuania and Romania could be interchanged depending on what their final rosters are.

Should be an interesting tournament. Any word on tv coverage/live streams?

I expect many close games and big battle both for promotion and avoiding relegation. Seems like Ukraine thinks seriously this time so I expect them to bi in fight for promotion. Their good trip in Olympic qualifications (just first round to be honest) is maybe the proclaim of good achievement on this WC. Playing in Donetsk can only be helpful. However, Poland and Netherlands could be real contenders but their results will surely depend on availability of their players which I'm not aware of at this moment.

Romania and Lithuania are really intersting teams that are capable of doing damage to anyone, Estonia could also be very competitive although I believe that they are the main candidate for relegation.

Should be very, very intersting tournament this one.

    I agree with Otgoal21's predictions.

I'd like to see the Netherlands pull it off though in honor of Ronald Herregraven. I at least hope they have a strong tournament.

Would also like to see Poland do well here.

After the strong performance in the Olympic Qualification tournaments, and with what seems to be a pretty strong team available for the Worlds, I wouldn't bet against them Marc. I'd love to see Mitch Bruijsten really shine in this tournament. He's big and has plenty of talent for this level. It's time for him to take charge of this Dutch team.

Poland v. Ukraine will be very interesting given their recent match-up in the Olympic Qualifiers. My worry is that Poland doesn't seem to have any exciting young prospects in the pipeline and are icing increasingly older teams. Hopefully this changes. I think they have huge potential to be a long standing hockey nation if given the right resources and attention.

I miss the big forward Marcel Kars on the Dutch team...must be injured I guess ad he's asically their best scoring threat. Ukraine will take this one I think, if not it would be the most dramatic decline of a higher end national team in recent years. Ok, Poland's there as well. They've also come a long way down considereng that they were among the top 16 10 years ago.

FWIW this year's Ukraine is even weaker than last year, but that said, on paper Ukraine never should of got relegated in the first place. Yest they are favourites on home ice, but with fresh pair of goalies, multiple mediocre kids just for the sake of youth movement. I can see Ukraine messing this one up if they face a team riding a hot goalie. I know nothing about Poland, but lately they have been looking ok. And being ''ok'' can be enough to ruin Ukrainian party. :(

EDIT: took ten minutes more and it looks that nor Lithuania nor Estonia have anything to look forward in this tournament as well.

It will be interesting to see how the Dutch do missing their starting goalkeeper and a few other players. I am going to go out and pick Poland to gain promotion, they were just on the verge of going up and much like 'Oz' says, I dont really trust the Ukrainian roster to live up to being the favourites.

I would much rather anybody other then Lithuania or Estonia fall but...yeah, I cant see that one happening.

    avoid relegation

We miss oure best goalie and 3 best defence players. Te weakest part of oure team is defence.

So I hope to get a win from Rumania and maybe Estonia.

    Greetings.

Any chance Mike Dalhuisen joins the Dutch now that the NCAA season is over?

Not sure what the rules on late roster additions are.

That was a good match to open up the tournament, I might of misjudged this Estonian roster, if somebody isnt careful against them they should be able to give anybody troubles. Like I said before, "t will be interesting to see how the Dutch do missing their starting goalkeeper and a few other players." and brought up by 'rowan', that Dutch backend needs to shape up.

Fun goal though from van den Heuvel to win match.

Quinnipiac Bobcats with Mike Dalhuisen has been placed for the Frozen Final Four Tournament

Michael Bandaseu play with Stavanger Oilers in the finale of the Norway championships.

Our goalie has been an fahter.

    Bjorn Willemse play also not.

    Greetings,

Ohh man....this Lithuanian team....unless Poland is this unstoppable force or Romania looks even worse, we found are clear favourite to be relegated. That was terrible to watch.

Romania looks pathetic. It could and should of been double digits for Ukraine after two periods, abysmally incoherent and slow hockey.

I'm so disappointed from Romania! The Estonians played good versus the average Dutch team, so I think that they will stay in the division. ROM - LIT will be the relegation game.

There is nothing funny here except that IIHF forget to make a mark "autogoal". I reviewed the episode several times and want to say that puck entered the net off the Ukrainian player's skate. And it was in may be three-four seconds after goalie stops Romanian shot.
