Its a bit of a surprise that VISP got to the final of NLB Play offs. LANGENTHAL was in regard of its regular season results the favourite but they got in front of them a very solid VISP. The Haut-Valaisan team did this performance without ALEXEI KOVALEV who after the series against RED ICE was injured and went to New York by his wife bedside. (sorry do not have more info about her condition).
They now will fight LANGNAU TIGERS, Its not sure yet if KOVALEv plays tomorrow the first game of this final. I fully support them and hope, but without believing too much in it, that their ugly LIONS kills the BEAUTIFUL TIGERS logo.

EHC Visp filed an application for promotion last summer, so yes I'd say they have an interest in joining. At least it allows them to enter the league qualification games vs. the loser of the NLA play-outs.

Sadly, I dont have any sources for matches, I know they are on tv just finding a stream is pretty hard. Hell, the only NLA series I can watch is the ZSC v. GSHC. Swiss seem to like to keep things to themselves. haha

On the right hand side where it says both NLA and NLB, click on the NLB tab and it will show you live update of the score and scorers.

Great performance from VISP. The game in LANGNAU was already very close and the Haut Valaisan had very strong fight that only OT determined. TIGERS pushed hard by KOVALEV and Co. Go on like this.

17 seconds to end TOMAS DOLANA scores the 4:3 and equalizes the series. Things were not easy for
VISP as they first lost KOVALEV begining of second period because of a stickblow to a TIGERS's
player and later they blew a 3:1 lead. TIGERS threw everything into the battle and finally
received the 4th on couter attack.

In the sold out decider of tonight, LANGNAU can be NLB Champion for the 4th time and VISP for
the third after 1960 AND 2011. Three years ago the Valaisan already were the underdog and
marched to the title. Half of all players are still there.

I am not the only one to feel arrogance in LANGNAU fan KLAUS ZAUGG''s article.

    Go VISP GO!!:

    KOVALEV stick blow video.

congrats to VISP, deserved win. TIGERS were not able to master the pressure and VISP did not
have that pressure because they did not talk about NLA the whole season and Tigers had made it
clear they wanted immediate return to NLA.

SCHODER, the GK was the determinant player in this game and stopped the initial onslaught.

  27. #177
Damn it, it's cool if Visp ever make it to NLA, for some reasons, but they will have to change their logo and stuff.. why all the teams want to be "Lions" ?? They can be millions of other cool things...

I honestly prefer VISP to the TIGERS. No disrespect. LANGNAU might not be better/worse but it just good to avoid the derby variable in this series.

EHCBIEL is not in a position where they can think that it's going to be easy or easier(than TIGERS).

ALEXEI KOVALEV(injured) will be absent for first game in Biel. They probably play only with DESMARAIS. Who are going to be the two foreigners for us? BEAUDOIN,,BOURQUE?(SPYLO ban,,KELLY,injured,UMICEVIC MCMURCHY,BELL healthy scratches?)
