BOURQUE'S fist game. Let him time to land . Was used on PP, Boxplay, good coming out of zone, small but quick and impredictable.

BENOIT JECKER,19, scores his first goal in NLA.

BURKHALTER 1 goal and 2 more assists.

Great win but Gotteron dominated outrageously at times with no luck and a very good RYTZ against his former team. 2 goals from Fribourg unvalidated.
For once we were ice cold on counters. These games vs Gotteron go normally the way round.

someone got the great idea to put a webcam to overview the progress of Stades de Bienne building site.
The images of permanent camera are cut by black line. But the interesting part is to view the monthly
progress in accelerated mode. My line is pretty slow and need some time to load videos. Hope it is not
    for everybody.
The photo must have been taken in summer. Happy to see that they are doing well.

BIEL'S KEVIN LÓTSCHER with B-licence to AJOIE. Hope he gets good ice time there.

GENEVA a few days ago announced the signing of IAN WHITE,ex DETROIT. He did not appear yet and is reported handling with KHL teams after signing with the Eagles. Mc SOrley says they are studying the situation and they will take best decision. He could be politician after stating this evidence. Truth is he probably escaped them for higher bid. Business is business.

Is he going to wear it tonight?

Bye the way PICARD is a deserved leader in minutes. 105 minute penalties.

Very important win. We could not loose three time in a row against LHC. OUR GOAL must be 9th or
10th when we enter relegation phase.
EHCB with four foreigners in attack, defense BRENDAN BELL sitting for this game. HERBURGER in D and then
replacing SPYLO(back problems). MEILI alternating with RITZ. Both with so so performances lately. MEILI
has been less solid letting some eggs in so did Ritz.
You cannot ask that 21 years old to carry the team game after game. Ritz is over 30 and is still backup
in NLA that says it all. He is a good backup though.

But tonight again MEILI was determinant and kept the one goal lead from minutes 43 to end with some big
    saves.

BOURQUE still without point after 6 games. BEAUDOIN with 2 goals and 3 pointS. So happy for him he is
doing well this year coming back from stint in DEL where he did not enjoy the hockey style acc. to
    interview with BIEL website.

Bad news: SPYLO's injury. Probably out tomorrow vs a ZSC with 10 wins in a row.

Should have bet on that one: 7:2 win by EHCB in FRIBOURG and BOURQUE with a hat trick. HERBURGER scores today, ULMER this other day. If everybody start scoring we can grab that 10th place.
FRIBOURG just when it looked they might come back, completely went down after 2:5 and were abandonned by angry fans.

GENEVA with back to back wins vs SCB. Very close and hard fought battle with huge general fight 7 seconds before end of first game. Today's game I did not see. GENEVA passes SCB in classification, Champion with 3 loss in 4 games.
    No slump for GSHC.

I wonder how Geneva fans see ELIOT ANTONIETTI turning 21 in a few days, this young Geneva defense with 1,97 and 107 kilos attracted my attention during Spengler Cup. I thought he played very strong games there against tough opponents, using his big body, good positioning sense and moving puck nicely to transition zone with calm . I see that his stats are not that great 31 1 4 5 -5. Does not mean much of course.
He is been International u16 to u20. I wonder if he could make NT in 2 or 3 years.
I remember seeing a picture of him with a beard where he looked more like 25 than 20 in an article in relation with NHL scouts watching him in Geneva. He has never been drafted AFAIK

Matt Lombardi from Genève-Servette got suspended for 1 game after being expulsed during game against Fribourg. He hit defenseman Shilt, who started bleeding.
It was later considered as assault by head of referees, meaning Lombardi won't take part to the Winter Classic in Geneva this Saturday versus Lausanne... what a shame !!!!

People in Geneva are very excited about this first Winter Classic in the french part of Switzerland ! 30 000 people are expected. Wanna see some pictures ? --> http://www.gshc.ch/fr/MSC-Winter-Classic.html

Only 1 goal in WINTER CLASSIC between GENEVA and LAUSANNE and in overtime. A game with interruptions which lasted a good half hour more, because of ice quality problems. HUET and STEPHAN were two of the reasons and the smaller and bad ice surface others. LAUSANNE's trap game probably another.

Geneva spend 1,6 mio to make more or less a 100k profit, which according to McSorley is less than with a normal game.
The event was not entirely sold out(600 tickets short) mainly because LHC returned 2800 tickets (of 6000) a few days ago for the event was boycotted by a some of their fan clubs for various reasons.
Finally the returned tickets were sold at entrance and to the rest of Switzerland through club web.

SHERKAN and FLETCHER(the EagleS) could really presume as theY were allowed to make several complete stadium rounds. Better than an ice hockey arena for them.

Good weather, nice atmosphere, great side shows. Except the lack of goals and the loss, GS concludes this WINTER CLASSIC on a very positive notes according to press reviews.

    here some nice photos:

I was at this winter classic and I can say 2 things : the whole organization and the show was top notch ! amazing fireworks, great show, lots of music, lots of people, it was simply awesome…

On the game level, both teams played like they where scared to lose such a symbolic event. Unfortunately (for me) Lausanne won. It was quite boring game for reasons aforementioned, but I guess one can't really blame the guys…

Great you have been there! I imagine it must be difficult to see the puck but the whole atmosphere makes up for it.

Beyond the organised show there was an important PO place fight and LHC, with this win, keeps the PO option.
Although I think SERVETTE will do it quite easily at end.

Honorable losses will bring us straight to league play-out final. And we are very bad at series this season.

This team is really so predictable. We lead, they catch up and win, We trail we cannot come back.
We have 4 foreigners injured and finished this game with BOURQUE on the ice only.
Try to keep the moral high and go on fighting. Not much else to do.

I had decent seats but I was surprised at how good you can actually see the game. It takes a few minutes then you forget about it. Only thing is, it's hard to see if or when the puck is inside the goal.
Also, you're note as into the game as you can be in an arena… other than that it's ok…

For Play-offs, if the team keeps playing as bad as yesterday or on league games, play-outs are close...

Lots of emotion like always in fifth soldout Ticino derby. This fight changed the momentum of the game.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gz5OxFXw_k

At this moment LUGANO was trailing 0:2

HCL with seven wins in last eight games

Third win for GENEVA against SCB in 2014.

Another one goal loss for BIEL(15x so far) this time vs direct competitor EVZ. 10th place escaping
slowly but surely. What a sh.... season.
The puck just does not enter with so many golden chances.

It's been announced yesterday, for Genève-Servette, that both Kevin Romy and Jonathan Mercier have extended their contracts up to 2017, like Juraj Simek did few days ago...
Also, Tim Kast will join the team next season. Dario Trutman, currently playing for Biel, will join GSHC too until end of 2015-2016 season.

A lot of rumors are going on, about Matt Lombardi being under the radar of Zug and Hollenstein going back to Kloten...

A whole lot of stuff going on...

First win in two years for DAVOS in GENEVA thanks to PAULSON'S hattrick.
LAUSANNE, still fighting for playoff place, beating ZSC comes to 3 points to GENEVA.
LUGANO stopped and passed in classification by DRAGONS who are looking better after their mini crisis.

BIEL with sixth one goal loss in row. PO cannot be reached mathematically anymore. Not playing
that bad, they just don't score. Half of these one goal losses would have been points and wins last season with BERRA saving the house. Not a critic to our GK just a constatation.
70 seconds 5 on 3 and not even a shot on goal.

FRIBOURG GOTTERON with new arena for 2017/18. After renouncing the renovation of old St.Léonard, the city council, promoters and the club decided on building a new one. Calculation showed that a new project would only cost 10 or 20% more. Two project are now being studied.

Turmoil continues in LAKERS camp. STEVE COLLENBERG was suspended until further notice because of
disagreement with coach and DURI CAMICHEL'S contract was dissolved in mutual agreement but on the
player's request. After EARL to ZUG and BURKHALTER to BIEL its already fourth player leaving the team
    this season.

Important win for Lausanne, they close the gap on Bern by 2pts but just couldnt get any help from Lugano against Genève. Help from Lugano would of drawn them even on points but behind on goal difference. However, tomorrow brings another important match for Lausanne in an attempt to be safe from the relegation round, home against Zug. Once again, help needed from Lugano who this time will be at home against Bern.

I am surprised by LAUSANNE HC. They are doing really well for a first season in NLA, Which by the way
    p...s me off big time.

A feeling, STAN THE MAN WAWRINKA (winning his first Gran Slam, congrats to him), does not share as he
is a big LHC fan and investor.

LHC plays a total defensive game concept with very good results (best NLA defense). This strategy turns
out perfectly for now. Based on a strong CRISTOBAL HUET between pipes.

Then they have four good foreigners with BANG,GENOWAY,SETZINGER and HYTöNEN. Very good at exploiting any
counter attack. Good basic complementary players like DERUNS,GOBBI,NEUENSCHWANDER,FROIDEVAUX.

EHLERS, coach and ALSTON, sport manager(maybe some in the forum will remember him with ZSC in Champions
League) seem to have found a good mix, they both are old foxes in Swiss hockey.
Can they do it and beat SCB or GENEVA off the PO?

In spite of all I Somehow wish they could sink SCB and all their millions under the line.

BENJAMIN CONZ with 59 saves. What do we have to do to score more? kill the GK? I learned
during broadcast that we lead NLA with most SOG. But how harmless most shots must be to score so
    few goals.

Anyway most important: End of 6 games loosing streak. Good for team's spirit.
One thing we are good at: shoot out: 6 out of 8 in our favor.

In the other game KLOTEN forgot that it ends at 60.00. LIONS scored winner 4 second to end of RT.
