    New York/Rangers tickets

I'm going to be in New York for a few days in October and I was hoping to see some games. The only NY Rangers game that's on when I'm there is the home opener against Montreal on October 28th.

I was wondering how difficult and expensive it would be to buy a ticket for this game? I'm assuming that the answer will be very to both. I had a quick look on the listings on stubhub and the cheapest ones on there were $140. Is that realistically what I would have to pay to get a ticket? I think the Rangers normally sell some individual tickets on ticketmaster but I wasnt sure if they'd gone on sale yet? Couldnt see anything listed. Or is it sold out?

Anyway, any help or advice on how to get a ticket would be great. Thanks.

If you're looking at $140 for a sold-out home opener, that's not actually so bad. I guarrantee if you wait to find a scalper outside of the building the cost will be multiples of that.

Definitely sold out, and that would be the minimum you will pay for a home opener, in my opinion.

I just paid $275.00 for a pair of tickets in Section 113 for the upcoming Rangers vs. Blue Jackets game in late December (about 20-25 rows off of the ice), and I was happy to get them at that price.
