End of the line for Dordrecht, they were unable to come up with anything tonight in Den Haag and with the loss, they can no longer catch Herentals and send them into the play-offs. For Dordrecht, they had a nice campaign since moving up but in the end, not enough and will compete in Larry van Wieren Cup.

The early match of the day confirms the play-offs as The Hague defeats Heerenveen to secure 2nd place. Tilburg had already won the league, even without their meeting tonight with Herentals, so those two will meet again in the Semi-finals. The win for The Hague gives them home ice advantage over Heerenveen.

In the late matches, Dordrecht already have the A1 spot in the Larry van Wieren Cup and unless the NIJB has some sort of different tie-breakers, even if Eindhoven defeats Geleen tonight, Geleen will still be the A2 and Eindhoven as A3. We will have to find out later how the NIJB is going to handle the Eerste divisie clubs, Groningen became Champions yesterday against Nijmegen so I assume Groningen is B1 and Nijmegen as B2, dont know who the 3rd club would be. Den Haag finished 3rd in the regular Championship so perhaps them.

Dordrecht announces they are withdrawing from the Larry van Wieren Cup due to no real financial gain and wanting to prepare for the 2014/2015 season. They also say that Erik Vos, Dan Koudys, and Clinton Pettapiece are leaving the Netherlands and Don Nichols is out with a broken toe leaving their roster a little short.

The Hague sure isnt making things easy for Heerenveen, up 3-0 in the series on home ice with a chance to close the series and back comes The Hague. Will be interesting to see how things go tomorrow, really wish one of the guys would stream the match.

So The Hague pulls off the comeback to knock off Hereeneveen to remove the re-match of the Dutch Cup final. However, we get a re-match of lasts year final when The Hague swept the series 3-0.

The Hague looks to defend their title while claiming their 13th title and 11th Championship, while Tilburg is looking for their 27th title and 14th Championship.
