    Detroit Tomáš Jurčo's NHL career

Due to an injury to Justin Abdelkader the Detroit Red Wings have recalled Tomáš Jurčo from Grand Rapid Griffins of the AHL and he is expected to make his NHL debut today.

After a slow start last year, Jurčo has been doing extremely well in the AHL and he currently ranks 8th overall in the scoring with 27 points for 11 goals and 16 assists in 26 games.

Tomáš Jurčo's NHL stint will most likely end once all DET players are healthy but from reports he has been doing admirably in his first 3 games. Also scored his first NHL goal in his second game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtujC6RqBes
I hope Mr. Vujtek is watching carefully, considering how our Euro forwards have been doing this season, I don't think anyone would be diappointed to see Jurčo on the Olympic roster.

I am so very sorry jaaa, I mistaken the two for each other. I separated them again, I apologize.

It's okay. I had a hunch that that was the case. Same nationality, same first name, same team, an easy mistake to make.

Tomáš had his first multipoint game last night, scoring a goal and adding an assist in DET's 5-4 shootout win.

After playing 7 games with 2 goals and an assists and 14 shots Tomáš was sent back down to the AHL before the outdoor game last week. From the sound of it, this had more to do with previously injured Wings players returning than with the way he played.

Jurčo returned back to the Wings in mid-January and so far he has played 23 games in which he has scored 5 goals and added 5 assissts.

After he struggled at the start of the season and was in danger of being sent down to the AHL, Jurčo managed to find his game in mid November and is now the 3rd in scoring among Slovaks in the NHL (doesn't tell you that much considering how badly most Slovaks there are doing atm, but it's something). 9 out of the 11 points he has picked up this season so far, he has picked up since the 18th of November.

Tomas Jurco has been traded to the Chicago Blachawks. He has been held pointless this season with the Red Wings so far this season. Let's hope that this move will help rejuvenate his career just as it did for Richard Panik.

Jurco finally managed to score in last night's game. Let's hope that this will mean a raise in his confidence.
