Again the BUL federation makes mistakes with the team list, and this is not for first time.
The BIHF do not give a f@ck....

number 22 Georgi Blagoev is playing for CSKA not Slavia
number 8 Maxim Eftimov is playing for Ice Devils not HK Mlada Boreslav - CORRECTED

Are you paying attention to such small things? (which are mandatory for BUL) Or just joking?
Hope that you're just kidding because there are much bigger problems and questions like: WHY THE ABROAD PLAYERS ARE NOT IN THE ROSTER? Why didn't anybody try to call these kids? Why didn't they endeavor to keep the kids in the squad? Why all of the countries (thousands of kilometers away from Turkey) travel with the full number of 25 players and only Bulgaria travels with 17+2 players (the distance between Sofia and Izmir is ~800 km) and ahead of all the team will travel by bus!

    I'm not kidding.
Which players are not in the roster, which plays aboard?
And the small stones turn around the car...
also there is no junior in age 19-20...(may be Hodulov and Nikolov, they are 94 if i do not misstake...)
That is a shame that we plays on WC U20 with 16 years old ...because we haven,t others...

I don't know whether you are having fun of me or not but I will answer Karam's question:
    1. Ivan Hodulov, Forward 1994 playing for Dynamo St. Petersburg in the MHL
    2. Martin Nikolov, Forward 1994 playing for Wings HC Arlanda in Sweden
    3. Dimitar Dimitrov. Goalie 1997 playing for BK Mlada Boleslav in Czech U18
    4. Daniel Dilkov, Forward 1998 playing for HC Topolcany in Slovakia U18
However, I dont know where are the other 1994,1995 and 1996s playing in the domestic league (Bozhidar Feraliev, Dimitar Mahmudiev, Edgar Shelupets, Alberto Filipov, Anton Zdravkov...)
If these guys were in the team everything would be different that is why I am asking bobo7 where are all these players?
My personal opinion is that this year the Bulgarians will be 5th.
And last i really appreciate that you know me and I do not agree that I don't know anything.. I am just puzzled of the situation

It's true that several Bulgarian players from abroad were forgotten.

Ivan Hodulov is the brightest Bulgarian prospect but was not selected, which is quite strange.

Dimitar Dimitrov, the goaltender, is back in Bulgaria while Daniel Dilkov is perhaps too young, but it doesn't make sense to leave off Hodulov and Nikolov, unless there is something we don't know. Both of them played for the junior national team last year and were excellent; Nikolov was even the team's captain.

If I remember well you said at the beginning of the sentence:
"With the risk of getting myself laughed at (or even insulted), I would say that for me the Bulgarians are the favourites for promotion. Of course if they play with their best roster (with all 5 dual nat. players + the majority of the U20 national team which won a Silver medal this year). Bulgaria is clearly better than Mexico, Turkey and Israel (of course if their best players show up maybe they will fight for the gold as well, who knows), and on the top of all last year they defeated China (with all the Asia League players) with 3 goal-difference."

There are a lot of 1997s and 1998s in the squad and they are worse than both Dilkov and Dimitrov and I don't see a reason why they are left outside of the roster.
Dimitrov has played in the Czech Republic for the last (!) 5 (!) seasons, without doubt the best BUL goalie in both U20 and U18, big deal that in the last 3 months he is in CSKA Sofia. Dilkov has good stats in the 9th and 8th grade in Slovakia, much much better than the other 1998 and 1997 forwards! Of course, that is my point of view.

Hi, kopitar11 pls tell me your name? pls do not hide it?

I think you are closer to CSKA Sofia... and must well know why some players are not coming to this WC u20
As the one of the best player at its age - Hodulov and Nikolov, may be they preffer to play in they club instead play in WC?
The younger player like you say Dilkov (1998-05-25) and Dimitrov (1997-10-12) are still young and may be the Head couch eaven ask them to join the team, but the fedaration cannot pay them the transportation to Bulgaria :(. Or Do you think that 15-16 year old have places on WC U20?

The 3 player that play in REd Star - Filipov, Feraliev and Zdravkov (all 1994) - may be the couch didn't want them? may be they refuse (i'm sure that this is NOT happend)
the CSKA players - Dimitar Mahmudiev, Edgar Shelupets i think they not play any more (may be i'm not right)

And i can give the you the shoe number if you want :) hihi

Hi everyone, since the entry roster were published I thought it will be Belgium all the way... they will mis Dolfyn and Henry but they have enough guys to cover them with their new U18 generation. It's crazy to see that New Zealand didn't have with them Ellis Fraser, Richard Dawson, Lane Jaxson, Cam McLeod & Alex Taylor. Obviously for Bulgaria is hard to be without Bozhidar Feraliev, Alberto Filipov, Tomislav Georgiev & Edgar Shelupets, but without Ivan Hodulov & Martin Nikolov is too much... At the same time the wonderful 1994 generation for Mexico will be without several key players that they can't assist to the championships because the problems with their junior teams outside Mexico... it is the case for Arnie Osuna, Hector Majul, Kevin Yedid, Emilio Mayagoitia & Diego Romero, Alexander Oliver... It was a miracle that Dallas Snipers allowed the center Jean Cobo to be on the team and play in Turkey... Why many of these kids don't go?... because if they go, they could lost their spot in their teams... Is there a rule in the iihf to prevent this?... No!!!... then we will see many teams from low divisions playing without their best players.

I believe IIHF rules require club teams to release their players for national team duty, which should mean that their roster spots must be reserved for them.

    Me neither, which is strange.

He is there on the roster posted by Starkovs but indeed the IIHF website doesn't list him and he didn't play today.

It would be a shame if he turned down the invitation because these not so traditional hockey countries need their elite players to play for the national team.

Sorry Marc... I enter the wrong forum... it was intended for the U20 in Izmir, Turkey... but anyway the roster spot could be reserved but the problem is when they return they will be relegated to the 4th line when many of them are already first or second liners.

Im just hoping he missed the first day and will be instated tomorrow, the FRBGH listed him as being on the roster but make no mention why he didnt play today. Even without him, Belgium shouldnt have much trouble making it back up but it would still be nice to see him play.

No!!!... then we will see many teams from low divisions playing without their best players.
yes agree - too many quality players out for this tournament - really strange

Alright, after a crap load of digging through the Finnish federation website, I finally found the correct league and found out that Henry has turned down the invite. He was in the line-up for their match today, so he wont be showing up.

Talev wont be but those with 5x20 could be, it will be interesting to see what happens in Bulgaria picks up a few suspensions. Im pretty sure you need to dress atleast 15+2, if all of them are suspended, they wouldnt have the players required.

There are a lot of pictures on the Mexico Ice Hockey Federation official Facebook page, although they come only from the games in which Mexico features.

Here are a couple of pictures (link to the page).

Agree, can't see anyone beating them now. They've won their two hardest games.

Agree... If these two games against MEX and NZL will be at the end maybe it could be different but at the begining Belgium was clearly superior.

The games tomorrow seems to be very important to decide final positions... BEL-TUR is a no brainer, but NZL-MEX will decide the silver and BUL-RSA will decide which one will lost the division status...

Nice win for South Africa, their first win at this tournament since 2008 when they defeated Turkey 6:3.

Belgians goin berzerk against Turkey? What seems half-way thru the match: Axl Milpas and Arne van Espen 10+2 in the first period and Frank Neven and Yoren de Smet 10 min each at the beginning of the second period. Turks recently responded with a 10+2 for Alihan Demirer...
