Decent roster for us with the usual head scratcher in the form of Bērziņš. The guy is slow and I think there are better players out there that could fill in the spot of the fourth line center, but Nolan seems to prefer him over guys like Džeriņš. Granted he seems to do what Nolan asks him to do and doesn't try to be flashy or anything like that. I assume Širokovs would have taken his place though, but since he pulled a no-show last year, they probably didn't look at him that much. Return of Vasiļjevs comes as a bit of surprise, but since Latvia allows double citizenship now, it's not really out of nowhere. I just hope that he can get back in form on time. The goaly question still remains as Masaļskis hasn't played a single game for a club anywhere this season, but I still think he is going to be a starter. Though I assume he will split the games with Gudļevskis leaving Muštukovs as the third goaly. The defense is the best that we could get and personally I'm quite pleased with the choice. Mostly cuz I like Freibergs, but wouldn't have minded Galviņš over him either. Interesting to see only three forwards from Dinamo Rīga (not counting Dārziņš), but there isn't really anyone else that would seem to fit Nolans game. He is not fond of Bukarts and Ņiživijs being as technical as he is makes ton of mistakes and gives up puck too often to not be labeled as liability at this level. Though it must have been a tough decision to cut him because he came in last year in OQ purely just to play in Olympics and if my mind isn't playing tricks on me he did a good job. Too bad Meija is injured.
Taro Tsujimoto, the greatest NHL player ever!
