    Czech Republic Czech off-season

Prostejov have received 5,000,000kc from the city which is about 180,000 euros. That should be of some help for the 2015-16 season.

Přerov is not 100 percent sure that they will play in the 1 liga next season. They have until the end of May to look at all of their finances. However, I am sure that they will find the money.

I think I jumped the gun about the city giving Prostejov hockey 5,000,000kc. Prostejov is apparently one of a few team who could sell their 1.liga license for the 2015-16 season.

Seems that Prostejov goes through this every off season.

Looks like 2.Liga will be getting a new look for this season, could likely go back to the three regional Groups that was last used two seasons ago.

The format is unknown at the moment while all clubs must submit their applications by 1.June, the idea at the moment is to have three Groups of 10, or two Groups of 10. Just depends on how many clubs apply and have been approved to play in the league. For the relegated clubs in Klatovy and Karviná, their fates will be decided depending on how many clubs would be approved and the format used.

However, we do know that the suggest format of five Groups of six has already been rejected as it resembles the regional leagues too much.

Thanks for the update. I am not that happy with only 10 teams in each group, but it makes much more financial sense.

When I saw this I thought ČSOB Pojišťovny dropped them as a sponsor, turns out they even extended their contract with HC Pardubice, just worked with the club to allow for dropping the company in the name.

New logo looks nice, kind of hard to screw it up over their old logo...I guess if they went with the 1953 Dynamo logo it would of been a downgrade but they didnt. Maybe its just me, but why does the horse have a cheeky look on his face? I know they were trying to make it look mean but he looks like he just did something bad or about to. haha

After recent accusations in the past days and weeks surround National Club coach and head of Slavia Praha, Vladimír Růžička, the ČSLH, headed by Tomáš Král has set up an anti-corruption hotline in order for more parents to report coaches they believe are taking bribes to allow kids to stay with the clubs.

Nice signing. Have Prostejov solved their financial problems?

Are Slavia going to be permanently playing back at Zimny Stadion Eden for the 2015/16 season?

Fans in Sumperk are not happy and seemed to be worried about the future of the club.

The city just gave LHK Prostejov 3,000,000kc yesterday, so they should be okay for at least one year.

2.Liga will remain a two region league in the West and East, still with uneven numbers. The East will carry 12 clubs while the West has 18, format for each region remains the same. The two relegated clubs, Klatovy and Karviná are able to remain in the league.

Still a question mark around Valašské Meziříčí, they have some debts to pay off but assured they paid off a large portion of it so they should be fine.

Thanks for posting this, Starkovs. You've answered my earlier question. Will be interested to see if Sparta's average attendances is increased significantly due to this.

Planning to make it over to Praha in the Autumn and I was hoping Slavia would be playing at Eden so I could go and see and game there.

The uncertainty surrounding Havlíčkův Brod has been cleared up as the club has been taken over by new management, as well have changed their name and the logo of the club. The club will enter the 2.Liga under the name BK Havlíčkův Brod and is likely to be lead by Aleš Totter and his assistant Miroslav Duben.

Debts by the club to the ČSLH have been payed off.
