This year, however, one of the strongest teams of the league is here.

Prizma did rather well for themselves - they won Sanok, had the edge over Corona, yet ultimately lost the game, and lost also to the Hungarians.

MOGO is missing only three players - defender Renars Demiters, forwards Ronalds Cinks and Valerijs Filimonovs. Their coach Olegs Sorokins said that the teams has only one aim - to advance to the third round. Unlike last year, it doesn't seem impossible.
I'm in Miskolc to cover CC for eurohockey.
GX...Demiters is in the roster and played very well yesterday vs Miskolc, he was named MVP after the game even if award should have gone to goalie Henrijs Ancs, he was really outstanding!
Miskolc wasted a lot of chance especiilly with canadian duo Dandereau - Dudas but Mogo played very well.
They definitely have an expert rosters with many veteran players and yesterday they exactly showed this: how to win a game against a (probably) stronger team using intelligence and tactics.

Today they have an easy "traning" vc Spanish Jaca, the decisive game could be tomorrow against Jeseice, but if Slovenians loose tonight vs Miskolc....

Big surprise here in Miskolc...after 1st period Jaca is 2-0 VS Mogo. Latvian team had an horrible start with 2 goals in first 4 minutes (the first was a fault by goalie Kazanovs). Teams seems lacking of concentration after the brilliant performance of yesterday. Defender Renars Demiters wasn't dressed today

Any live streams for today's games?

Shocker after twenty minutes in the Coventry Blaze - Partizan Belgrade game......Partizan led 1-0 more than halfway through and Coventry only leads 2-1 at the end of the period!

Partizanhk - hope you put money on this one.....your boys just might cover the spread!

shameful episode yesterday in Rouen: during the match between Shakhtar Soligorsk and GKS Tychy, after a goal disallowed for Tychy, Polish fans tried to clash with Blarusian fans in the standing. Police immediately intervened to separate the two factions. Also French fans have hindered to defend Soligorsk fans, in effect attacked by Poles. After some tension, the majority of Tychy fans was invited to leave the arena. Almost all were drunken and with their faces covered (and head shaved....) . They were at the swimming pool at the side of arena to taking bath. Others were at arena restaurant demanding more beer with police interfering again. Today Rouen (organizing club) decide not to sell beer inside the arena and Tychy fans are much less than previous days. A local newspaper here in Rouen reported about a meeting organized through internet between Tychy and Lyon football fans, both extreme-right oriented

Considering that the Continental Cup was the main goal of Asiago's season thus far, the fourth place finish (with only one win) is a disappointment for the defending Italian champions.

Thanks to Rouen's win we will finally have the Superfinals somewhere else next year ;)
