According to the schedule you've linked to, Dragon will only play three games in Shanghai this season. Six games will be in Beijing in December while the rest will be, presumably, at the Qiqihar Ice Stadium. Harbin, unfortunately, will not have any games this year.

Do they live stream games in this league. Followed it for a while and would be great to be able to watch a few games

I believe we had a few of them last year, it really depends on if somebody shares the link.

Tohoku did (some?) home games via livestream. I don't think China's home games are streamed; there was a TV quality camera at the game I went to but there aren't any domestic websites that specialize or even offer streaming other than the national broadcaster - which doesn't show Asia League games anyway.

Eh, so High1 is moving completely away from Chuncheon. Kinda sad as I would have preferred to see hockey being spread a bit more around the country and not just in the vicinity of Seoul.

Also is Sangmu really going to play out of Mokdong rink? The schedule states that they are going to play home games in Incheon instead of Seoul.

Edit: Did some digging around and as it seems they really have moved away from the mokdong rink to Incheon (as per their facebook page), but couldn't figure out which rink exactly they would play out of. Their webpage literally states - undecided. On that note they have launched an independent web page for the hockey club http://daemyungsangmu.com/
There isn't much in there yet, but hopefully they will update in the future.

I like the new look for the ALH website but I hate how they hide the match records and stats. The English version of their website is outdated, yes it has the results from today, but the match records and stats are only from last season. I only found the stats and match records by mistake...being all click happy. :D

The long, long, long season begins. If my colleagues knew what sports were, I'd start an office pool to see how long Matti Naatanen stays with the team. Not a criticism of the man, but he's never played on such a poor team while Parnham (3rd year) and Stoflet (2nd year) have been through this before.

Despite the success of, you know, winning games by having Alex Westlund last year, Dragon have chosen to break their ALIH record multi-season losing streak by not employing an import goalie this year. I get it, they won their precious Olympic bid and want to actually have a Chinese goalie dressed on the bench but Hashimoto will likely chew up most minutes between the pipes anyway. At least manage the team so you might win some games, put asses in seats, and generate interest in the team and sport...

Yeah, I'm definitely planning to. But I'll probably go to the Goyang rink to watch the High1 games this year instead of Sangmu. The Sangmu will play out of Incheon so it's quite a bother to go there. Then again I would love to go see a game in Anyang this season.

Sounds awesome, especially if you could get out to an Anyang match. Lets us know how it goes.

Nice to see Sangmu having a decent start this season. Close games and a win against last seasons champions seems promising. Probably that longer bench comes in handy. They seem to be doing a great job by promoting themselves and the game of hockey in general on their facebook page so hopefully it will translate in some bigger numbers for attendance. Besides you can actually buy their jersey for 200'000 won (~170 usd).

Those Nikko-Daemyung highlights showed some sloppy, sloppy hockey......led to a lot of goals, though, which fans always appreciate.

Does anyone know if Sakhalin played any exhibition games against Russian VHL, MHL, MHL-B or Pervaya Liga teams? Any idea if any of the Japanese or Korean teams played against university or local teams in the preseason?

    Gareth - LOL! Very true!

Starkovs - Are those both VHL squads? If so, that is very impressive.

So Sangmu has updated their web page and it seems quite informative with videos, stats and news. Check it out http://daemyungsangmu.com/

Also yes, they have moved away from Mokdong rink and are going to play in Sonhag ice-rink which is in Incheon. So, Starkovs, some updating might be in order ;)
