Guess this means that Larsen will be returning to the NHL, so with the more defensive types (Jaakola, Kulda and Jensen) already under contract, they probably will be looking for a more offensive minded defenceman to complement Lajunen.

With Kozun presumably also gone, a top line winger to play with Regin & Joensuu and perhaps a 2nd line center will also have to be a priority going forward.

Interesting to see what Kurri comes up with.

Exactly. Kurri needs to find a good replacement for Larsen even tho it's kinda impossible cause what he did for us was impressive (Gunderson was what we needed in the opening season), but Larsen was a big improvement. Ohtamaa is thinking what he's gonna do

Also, Kurri said that Kozun that he's thinking about the future and coming back would be a choice. Same with Aaltonen, but personally I wouldn't give him a contract because he's salary is for top line material and he was a 3rd coming down to playoffs.

Summasummarum: 1st line D (likely right handed), 2/3 centers are the most important right now.

    Agree.

If they also plan on retaining Hagman and/or Kapanan to provide some veteran presence plus give the younger home grown talent a bigger role (and with the recent signings in mind), there’s not that much room left in the bottom-six, so whoever is signed to play in the top-six has to stay there, so to speak.

Kapanen and Hagman will not remain in the team. Both are going back to Liiga, but unknown yet to which teams will sign them.

Is it possible with our resources to get a goal scorer/two-way forward and right handed in the same package? Player like that would be perfect for X2. I guess it's just dreaming anyways.

    You can always hope :)

A bit surprised that Karlsson wasn’t retained as the starter, but Zapolski looks to have performed well for Lukko in Liiga.

With most of last year’s d-men also returning, this hopefully will bring some stability early on.

As for Jesper B. Jensen, he has been released from hospital and is expected to return to Denmark later today.

According to Denmark's medical staff, Jensen is feeling reasonably well (again considering all things), however he will need surgery on an injured shoulder and of course a bit of rest in the summer.

    Article from Danish TV2.

Well he will get paid better in Astana, so I'm not wondering why he leaved. Even tho Barys might be weaker than us.

Always a good sign on situations like this a player can leave over night from hospital. So it's going to be same as in Regin's case. Injured shoulder altough Regin didn't need any surgery, so it'll recover quicker, but Jensen respectively come back. When the next season starts, slowly into the action, no rush.
