Denmark won this tournament last year, so interesting to see what this year's version can do.

I won't get my hopes up too high. The 2000 born players are much weaker talent vise than the 1999 born. But a good tournament as preparation for the U-18 WJC. I hope that Alberto Pison can participate in the U-18 WJC, he is apparently doing great, playing in Canada.

Pison has been named to the U17 team for the yearly tournament in Füssen, still a good performance there could of course make him a candidate for the U18 camp roster.

A bit puzzling with the 2000-class (but guees you can say that they simply lack those 2-3 players that can make a difference at this level), since they at the U16 & U17-level have performed reasonable:

    - A tournament win at the U16-level (wins against France, Latvia & Norway), although they latter that season finished outside the top-4 in the annual 6-nations tournament in April.

    - A win against Slovakia at the U17-level (loses against Switzerland & Germany) and back in November they got a win against Belarus and a couple of “respectable” results against Germany (2-3 loss) and Slovakia (2-4 loss).

The three losses against France back in August was obviously a bit unexpected and if they aren’t competitive against the likes of Norway and Latvia at this tournament, the odds of earning promotion back to the Top Division in April will not exactly improve.
