    IIHF 2018 IIHF World Championships

Some early news about Team Canada at the upcoming World Championships: It appears that Connor McDavid and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will play for Canada. If that is the case, that is wonderful news for Canadian fans.

Good news but not surprising really.
Look for a higher percentage than normal of star players saying yes to playing at the Worlds.

So, at least according to TSN, Barzal and Drouin would like to play if asked. Along with McDavid & RNH thats the start of a reasonable offense. Not sure who else is available or attractive...nobody else is particularly exciting on the Coyotes, Canucks, Habs, Isles, Sabres.
I always like Ryan O.Reilly of course & Monahan if he is interested. Hopefully a decent squad.

It'll be interesting to see McDavid play on larger ice, that's for sure

Patrick Reimer (Nürnberg Ice Tigers) -> ends his career in national team

Canada looks OK. Goalie maybe the weak link although I don't know much about the guy. Playing in Arizona must be tough.

I don't think Kuemper will be the number one keeper. I a sure Canada is waiting to see who gets eliminated in the NHL playoffs before naming another keeper. I hope it isn't Dubnyk, he just isn't playing that well.
