The Women's EHT is expanding from 4 to 6 teams with Switzerland and Czech Republic joining Finland, Sweden, Russia and Germany. Each team will play 2 out of 3 tournaments between August and December. The overall ranking will then determine seedings for a final tournament in February played with all 6 teams. The two exempt teams during the first three international breaks play either a three-game series between each other or another tournament such as the 4 Nations Cup. This new format is planned to last until the 2023/24 season.
