2020 Arab Clubs Cup - Kuwait February 2020

NToIH are reporting this upcoming event , apparently with six teams including Egypt and Lebanon.

Sorry could not get a link to work.

I know they are not national teams competing but hopefully it will help those participants who donít have a national team to make progress towards having one.

I think the teams this time are from Kuwait, UAE/Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Tunisia, Egypt and Lebanon.

The new rink in Kuwait is pretty good, it should help their development for years to come.

Been difficult to get full results for this event.

The Egypt team have been a good source

Seems the final today is between the Kuwait and UAE teams.

Third place match is between the Lebanon and Egypt teams.

Bahrain and Saudi Arabia teams in 5th and 6th , therefore.

I understand that the team from Kuwait , The Stars , defeated the Theebs from Abu Dhabi 6-4 in the final.

The Lebanon Cedars defeated the Egypt Pharaohs 5-4 for third.

There was a 5th/6th playoff between the Saudi and Bahraini teams, I’ve not found the result.

Do we know if the Lebanon team (and I guess by extension Egypt) are made up of any locals or is it the same players who organise a lot of games in Canada?

Looks like The Pharaohs are mainly from North America, pretty sure The Cedars would be too

Thought that might be the case, but anything that gets a country interested in hockey even if its from the diaspora has to be good.

There are no rinks in Lebanon and therefore no players in Lebanon. Egypt did come with some homegrown players though.
