    2020 IIHF Women's World Championship Division II Group B

    Division II Group B of the Women's World Championships got underway yesterday in Akureyri, Iceland. Australia is the top seed of the tournament after being relegated from Division II Group A last year. Ukraine is the lowest seed after winning promotion from Division II Group B Qualification.

    So on Day 1 Ukraine pushed Turkey all the way but Turkey held on for an overtime win, New Zealand destroyed Croatia and Australia picked up an easy win over the hosts.

    - Ukraine 2-3 (OT) Turkey
    - New Zealand 11-1 Croatia
    - Iceland 1-6 Australia

    Day 2 sees Ukraine push another team into extra time, this time being Croatia, though Croatia managed to get the win in the shootout. Australia got a narrow win over Turkey. In goals for Turkey was Australian dual national and AWIHL player Sera Dogramaci (bit of trivia there). And the last game saw Iceland bounce back from their round one loss to defeat New Zealand.

    Day 3 sees Australia monster Croatia with a huge shutout, Ukraine's overtime loss streak ends with a regular time loss to New Zealand and Iceland easily shutout Turkey.

    - New Zealand 5-3 Ukraine
    - Iceland 6-0 Turkey

    On Day 4 Australia continues their march with an easy win over Ukraine, New Zealand get a narrow win against Turkey and Croatia continues to feel the shutout pain this time at the hand of Iceland.

    The final day sees Australia easily beat New Zealand to finish first and return back to Division II Group A. Turkey picked up their first regular time win over Croatia and Iceland shutout Ukraine to send them down to Division III for next year.

    - Australia 7-1 New Zealand
    - Iceland 7-0 Ukraine
