....but the link goes to the Ref's page....
Cheers, Franco
actually, it's not. It's the bulgarian ice hockey federation's website, which appears to be HOSTED by the ref's page. i switched it to English, and the first thing that jumped out at me was the top bulletin: "Welcome to our new website of the Bulgarian Ice Hockey Federation. Take a look at the detailed information that we have exposed to you in the main menus"Originally Posted by Franco
I haven't really done more than scan the menus, but there seems to be some decent info there.
thanks, yes - you're right...Originally Posted by Steigs

womanicehockey.hit.bg - Slavia Sofia' s women icehockey team, but up to now it has only a version in Bulgarian.

THE site about Bulgarian ice hockey. Great wealth of info including various stats, history, rare logo's (yes Rowan), news, links and whatnot.
A small contribution from me too - Ice Devils Ice Hockey Team Web Site
Balkan Hockey League, the amateur tournament involving also greek teams, has now a website: http://www.hockeybg.com/
Well some history of this initiative - BAHL.
At the middle of season 2006 - 2007 some amateurs started to forming a teams in order to play their favorite game. Slavia was the first PRO club that supported that idea and they had couple of championships along with some Greek teams (dunno the names exactly).
Next season couple more teams was formed and at the end of the season we had all ready like 4 teams - Dinamo, Torpedo, Ice Devils and Spartak. For season 2007 - 2008 we decided to form this League and we did it. We had like 3 stages of a tournament with 4 or 5 games total per team. There were Ice devils, Slavia amateurs and Spartak team. Spartak was number one team with no loses. Mine Ice devils team were second and Slavia amateurs were third.
We stopped the tournament to participate into the initiative of Bulgarian Ice Hockey Federation Division "B".
For this year we expect the following teams to participate into BaHL tournamet:
1. Dinamo
2. Torpedo
3. Olympic stars
4. CSKA
5. Elin Pelin
6. Red Star Sofia
7. Ice Devils
8. Spartak
9. Veliko Tarnovo team (This one is under question. They can join Red Star team as they did for B division championship)
Also we expect Iraklis and Aris hockey team s from Greece to participate.
As I am one of the founders of BAHL I can tell you that we expect to have very nice season.
Note that all these teams are either amateurs nor veterans (people used to play hockey as kids or juniors).
The BLOG is going to be an online media for BAHL and will try to make it a place where people can find info about hockey - Bulgarian and International. I have put an Ebglish section too.
You asked if there are only amateurs or there will play PRO's as well.
Well - anyone are welcome but note that we will play without any hard physical contact.
