New Zealand History of Ice Hockey in New Zealand

I wish to know in brief how did Ice Hockey found a place in New Zealand.
I mean: year of first games, where first players and coaches came from, when first tournaments took place, when and where first rinks were constructed.
I'm part of a development group of Ice Hockey in Ushuaia, Argentina.
There are several hurdles to overcome in order to spread our beloved game, so I thought it would be fine to know about other experiences in the world.
    Thanks in advance.
