    Australia Matt Ezzy in Serbia

Do the individual teams have their own websites?

I'm interested in HK Vojvodina from Novi Sad.
One of my boys will be joining the team soon.

Matt Ezzy will be starting his professional hockey career with HK Vojvodina. This is the former team of Rob Starke, teammate of Matt Ezzy from 2004-2006. Rob won the Yugoslavian championship with HK Vojvodina in 2002-2003 IIRC.

Matt Ezzy is currently Australia's number 1 goalie, and should be a safe pick for the 2007 WC DivII in South Korea.

    Matt Ezzy in Serbia

Thanks all for the information about the Serbian league.

I'm following the progress of my friend Matt Ezzy, who started with Vojvodina and is now in net for Red Star (Crvena Zvezda).
He's let us know he's enjoying playing hockey in Serbia, especially now he's in Belgrade.
I'm happy to see that Red Star Belgrade have been a lot more competitive than previously since Matt started in net.

matt ezzy really clicked with crvena zvezda...
they desperately needed a goalie and he was in the right place in the right time...
he did a great job against both partizan and vojvodina, despite the fact that he conceded 7 goals in those 2 matches...
zvezda also got some slovak guy... i don't know anything about him...

next tuesday, beostar plays against zvezda in new ice hall...
the new russian player, ivanov, should play as well as american guy, brian...
also, lukovic (goalie) suspension is over and he well stand on goal...
that game should be interesting... a lot of beostar players used to play for zvezda but didn't get the chance to show their worth... maybe it's time to show how good they are?

    EDIT:
i just hope that your friend doesn't do too good tonight...
you'll get the info about the match as soon as i come home...

    final score:
    beostar - crvena zvezda
    5 : 7 (0:2;2:2;3:3)
i don't know the scorers, except that new beostar player, ivanov, scored 4 goals...
it is unanimous that he is the best hockey player in our league...
he didn't lose a single puck the whole game... he scored 3 goals in the first 8 minutes of third period and beostar had the lead 5:4... then the fatigue kicked in and zvezda scored three times and won...
the game was great, as far as our league is concerned...
it's too bad that beostar lost, but they'll win some other time...

Matt's last two games were victories over Novi Sad and Beostar.
He's headed off for a couple of weeks to Hungary and to meet up with the Aussie Youth team when they arrive in Romania.

Give us an update on how he's doing with the youth team?

Ezzy's just joining them for a look-see and a good time. He's 4 years too old for the NYT.

Why do you post in topics that are so many years old? There are more current, more appropriate topics to post it.
