We have a good system with pihis, he jinxes the team he guesses for and I guess for the winner.

Worked both times in semifinals, why not now?

Yeah, right. At least the canucks play HOCKEY, not THEATER. I hope the soviet tanks won't invade Helsinki for this one :(

    3-2 OT for Finland.

NB!!! I have to ask you to write in this Thread and on this Forum only about hockey and argue your thoughts!!!!! DIN

Yes, I'm sure, Canadians won't dive, this is something that does not fit to the Canadian hockey etiquette. This is the final I was rooting for, but from now on, Hyvää Suomi! This will be a close game, but still I hope a Finnish win in OT.

6-0 for Finland. Finland plays the most fair play ever! Canadians are going to make crimes all the time!

    2-1 Canada SO

Erkka's clever "roadkill" strategy of playing possum until the playoffs may have worked on others but not Canadians. It will be a low scoring game as Team Finland's main focus is on containing the Canadian offense and any serious scoring attempts will come from breakaways or on the power play. This will last until the shootout when the maple shirts will demonstrate what the term "offensive depth" means.

I've never been negative about the finns chances in final games, but I after demonstrating the uncanny ability of losing final games in every imaginable tournament over the past 10 years, I'm starting to see a trend forming here.

Nothing to say, Gold Medal games make me nervous. Win = party.

I don't think it's as bad as waiting 50 years for winning a gold at the Olympics, especially after making the finals back to back and dominating one year only to be blanked by a Dominator. ;)

I think you need to stop smoking whatever it is you've been smoking. That, and I want to talk to your dealer, the stuff's obviously spiked.

Canada plays the same way Finland did against Russia, so if you're going to accuse Canada of "crimes", then you'd better look in the mirror first.
There's room for a lot in hockey, and unfortunately hypocrisy is one of those things, but on this board that's a different thing.

Canada to defeat the hypocrites with 'attacking' play by 3-1 .At least they would make worthy winners.

We are trying to run a serious hockey forum. None of these posts belong here.

You are both violating board rules #1 and #2.

Depth in offence with skilled individuals, aggressive playing (deep in grey area, as usual) in front of both goals, and a disciplined system in defence; those will make it, unfortunately, 3-1 for Canadians tonight. I sure hope otherwise.. :)

the best chance for a FIN win is for them to contain the CAN speed this is how they defatted RUS yestarday, this should be a good game but i give the edge for CAN \

    CAN wins gold 4-2

No team gets to the finals without doing something right. So for me its up in the air. Both teams are worthy.
