Darion, why are you such an aggressive? I think that Belarus can win Swiss 5-2 and vice versa - it's hockey. I have found:
    Switzerland-Belarus 4:1
    Sui-blr 5-3
Let's discuss: "How fast Swiss became overrated" :) It seems we have more friends in Germany and Slovenija than in Russia- quite sadly. Let's wait for a game...

I thought Germans had a chance against Slovakians, but after watching them against Finns, I lost confidence in German team. The main Slovakian advantage is the awareness that they lack many NHL-ers so they have a lot to prove, to themselves, to fans and to their opponents who think they'll catch them in this moment of weakness.

I'm not agressive. And actually I really dislike chauvinists in Russia who are pretending that Belarus or Ukraine are russian "little brothers" and are inferior, that's BS IMO.

5-3 isn't a big score like 6-2. But the thing is that there were 2 predictions with big scores in a row, and in a poll at that time it was like 12-3 for Belarus. Switzeralnd is still considered better team, so I thought that is because of SWE-BLR game. Seems logic to me.)))))))

I posted 4:1 so maybe I should say sth.... I'm pretty sure Swiss hockey is stronger than Belarussian.... I thought this way before the tournament and first games didn't change my mind. Btw how could it when Belarus lost and Switzerland won... Switzerland in last tournaments were always 8th or 9th and I predict it will be the same this time and maybe they can beat Sweden... don't know. Result for today is open but for me there are no signs now to pick Belarus win so you shouldn't say "overrated" when we predict their success 'cos they were before tournament and for last years considered stronger team.

Should be interesting to see how quickly the Brothers Kostitsyn adapt back to the Int'l style after coming out of the NHL playoffs- or will they go out and start banging bodies? Oh wait, I forgot, that's Montreal - they didn't know how to do that...

I don't know if i have said this before, but i REALLY don't like those refs... You just can't touch your opponent. That last Salei penalty, he only made one move and it's a penalty
    and it's american referee..

switzerland should win this one, belarus has looked terrible: lots of penalties and those new guys look like they are not ready to play, overall very bad performance so far by the belarussians

lets see what happens, third period.. ->

I am not watching, but perhaps the rest of the team let up a bit thinking that the "NHL" additions would carry things
There is no such thing as a "Bad Hockey Market"
There are, however, several markets with "Bad Hockey"

    Watching Switzerland-Belarus.
Well, weird refereeing I would say.
In 1st period, the 3rd penalty for Belarus was at least questionable (for me).
Then after 1-1 again "interference". And that hooking for Kostyuchenok at the end of 2nd ...
Right after the equalising goal, that interference call was strange, and that hooking for Kostyuchenok at the end of 2nd ...
The swiss player ran into his stick. Refs judged it intentional. Well, in this case, the 2nd Swiss goal was intentional too (I mean kicking the puck).
Sad to see this way of refereeing. Swiss is a decent, tactically skilled team .. but for me, they lack te "spice". Belarus is better team, but they play constantly shorthanded.
I hope referees will try to compensate their mistakes in last period.

Noooo! Belarus is taking far too many penalties which means that Switzerland has 2-1 lead after the 2nd period and it also means that I won't win money with that result unless Germany beats Slovakia. Those Kostitsin brothers should make the game for Belarus.

Nothing special, weak sportdiplomacy I guess. 5 on 5 Belarus is better, but they are tired now. Nevertheless trying to score.
