Sweden-Switzerland (3-2 Swiss in OT) Even Sweden beat France 9-0 but I'm going to go with Swiss on this one in OT especially Sweden isnt that strong team compared in the past with their performance so far this year. If they take it in OT, they can upset them in the shootout.
    Finland-Slovakia (4-1 Finland)
    France-Belarus (4-1 Belarus)
Norway-Germany (3-2 Norway) They got close with Finland so I'm going to predict an potential upset. There got to be an upset in those tournament so I'm picking this one.

    Sweden-Switzerland 6-2

    - Though Sweeden hasn't really convinced, they are nevertheless the stronger team that has to begin to show up, however this sounds weird after a 9-0 win

    Finland-Slovakia 4-2

    - A nailbiter for Slovakia which appears to happen versus the strongest opponent in this group, can't see them getting any points, which could cause deep trouble to them. Could well be, that the slovakian side after 2 periods will be more interested in the result of Norway-Germany

    France-Belarus 2-5

    - France trying hard but still showing too many defensive faults. Even Huet can't avoid relegation play-offs here, I fear

    Norway-Germany 2-4

    - A very close game depending on the momentum of this given day. I still think, Germany is slightly better, which means just nothing for this game. Will a german victory generate gallons of free beer to german supporters in Bratislava during the championships? Though I picked a result - with a good portion of hopes and wishes - anything can happen here.

In case someone is wondering, Saku Koivu won't be playing in the game vs. Slovakia.

    Sweden - Switzerland 3-2
    Finland - Slovakia 4-1
    France - Belarus 1-3
    Norway - Germany 1-2

    Sweden - Switzerland 4:2
Sweden got a wake up call after the close game against belarus and shut out france after that. Now they are awaken and also win against switzerland.

Finland - Slovakia 3:1 (Slovakia looked weak yesterday and the fins looked great on saturday)
Finland is too strong for those slovakians, this year. Slovakia misses their NHL Players and looses this one.

    France - Belarus 0:6
Team Belarus played pretty well against sweden and switzerland. France lost both games pretty clear, so it´s gonna be an easy victory for the Kostitsyn Brothers.

Norway - Germany 3:4 (after Overtime)
In this game everything can happen, but i´m german so i hope we can win in this crucial game.
Norway looks very strong, so im a little bit afraid of that game...

Don't be...the Germans have got some good scoring hands up front. And Mueller has looked good. Got to be positive.

    Okay, then i am pacified.

But i heared Dmitri Pätzold will maybe play against norway.
Don´t get me wrong, he is a great Goalie, one of the best we got here in germany. But Mueller did such a great job yesterday, i don´t know who do pick now.

Yes Mueller played fantastic yesterday. Too bad the slovakian team scored 4 seconds before the siren, their second goal.
But he had some great saves and kept us in the game.
Remember the first chance of the game, it was Robert Petrovicky running all alone to the german goal... ...Robert Mueller with the save. I mean, if that one got in, right in the games first seconds, we maybe had an other game then.

As for the german goalie situtation: Thomas Greiss maybe come now too, since San Jose is out of the playoffs. Then we would have 3 pretty good goalies and Kotschnew (best goalie of german DEL, last year) would have to go home.

well, actually, some are wondering ;)

why is that? just needs some rest or is it something else behind this decision?

Possibly it is to give the coaching staff some time to ponder about line changes.

There has been some talk about playing Saku as a winger in Mikko's line. They need get that thought out of their system first.

Strange I cant find my old predictions on this games. So I post this:

    Sweden vs Switzerland 4-1

    Finland vs Slovakia 4-2

    France vs Belarus 1-6

    Norway vs Germany 3-2

I hope for Norway to win. But if Norway wins and the slovaks loses we will have the slovaks in the relegation round....

-It seems Belarus is simply inconvenient team for Sweden, so Sweden is rather strong and can win with a good score.
-I Expect that our Montreal guys know how to play against Hue.
-The best Norway game was against Finland. It's hard to play after such matches, e.g. Belarus after the game with Sweden
