    Is the swiss team really so strong?
    Or are the swedes just lame again?

    @Forsberg:
    Can´t watch that game (as usual) so maybe it was Warg who scored and the IIHF site is wrong.
    But anyways that doesn´t really matter.

    tight game so far... I must say that swiss style of play is not the most entertaining but it seems to be effective so far. Is it possible some day to see other coach than Kruger behind swiss bench? :)

    Well deserved victory, great goals, Switzerland had also more scoring-chances than their opponents. And Forster deserved his goal, he plays a great tournament and as I know that he was already observed during the season by NHL-scouts it's a possibility that we'll see him in the NHL next year.

    I think it was good for Sweden to lose. Sweden needs most of the times a lose to take gold. Switzerland played like the old Sweden back in the 80:s. A good game from Switzerland and it will be intressting to see what they can do against the Czechs.

    No - they got Kruegerized :-).

    Or in other words: outcoached like BLR.

    But for SWE this is really bad, as Gustafsson knows SWI better than any other coach (of course besides Krueger) - and had all the time to find a system against this simple 1-2 men forechecking and 3 men on the blue line SWI plays.

    OK - this system requires a lot of power and speed - and he probably simply hoped that SWI won't be able to keep it up. Or that it would be enough to score on power plays his better skilled players eventually would get because SWI got tired.

    But nevertheless: With so many skilled players at hand, he should have had a solution ready in case this wouldn't happen as early as he thought it would. Like this he could have avoided his players losing their nerves and serving the victory to SWI on the silver tablet..

    But then to his defense - it was also surprisingly for us that it happened finally only some 60 secs before the end...

    I guess no coach can change the fact that his players skate like pregnant ducks in crucial situations. At the Swiss second goal the defensman was passed outside just by speed, no move no deke nothing just moved his feets...Swedes were too slow, well deserved win for the Swiss.

    Zombinized pregnant ducks? That's pretty harsh

    But the Slovaks were not able to equalize.

    NOR ties at 2-2 at the 47:19 mark of the game from Mats Aasen Zuccarello this is a critical game to possibly determine who's in the Qualfying Round and in the Relegation Round.

    Norway takes the lead 3-2, with just under 5 minutes left in the game. Ask Morten scores a 2 man advantage goal. If this lead holds, it would take them into the Qualfiying round while Germany would go into the relegation Round.

    Now all discussions about cutting teams in top division can end, less experienced nations such as Switzerland, Belarus, Germany and Norway have all prooved of great games this opening group stage!
