I agree. I think Norway finally ran out of steam the past game, they just looked exhausted from their tough games against Canada, Finland and Germany.

This game are very hard to play for the canadiens they have allready won it and there minds are allready in the showdown against the Sweds on Friday....Norway have all to win and Canada all to lose. Canada will win but maybe only whit 2-3 goals.

If Norway gets a good start and make the first goal we can have a good game before the canadiens step it up in the 3 period....Brain say Canada 2-3 goals, heart hopes for Norway....

    Canada

One note: Canadian forward Eric Staal will miss the QF game vs Norway to attend the funeral of his grandfather.

Don't know about zero for the Norwegians after this game. But they do go out with 10 points for an impressive tournament.

Those matches have of course been tiresome, but the team hasn't really been playing as much as a team in the USA and Latvia game as vs Germany, Finland and Canada. If they can step it back up, and stop trying to do it one and one, aswell as Grotnes doing as great a job as the last time against Canada, I don't think we'll see 10-0 to Canada. If they fail to that however, it will be bad..

Today's quarter-final game may be Canada's to lose, but I always believe it is unwise to dismiss any opponent in this tournament. There are simply too many variables - who's available to play, who wants to play, etc. even before the first puck is dropped. This will be the first Canadian game of the tourney that I'll be watching live, so I am hoping Norway proves a spirited opponent. (Not spirited enough to win, of course, but I do think Norway is up to the job of challenging Canada. Over the years many supposedly exhausted teams have managed to rally for a good push against Canada and I expect Norway to play no differently today.) Also, there have been a couple of really entertaining sledge hockey matchups between these two countries in recent years, so there is no reason to think today's game can't be exciting too.

Too many penalties for Norway, they should look to keep it clean.

Nice corner pick by "Taves" (Toews). I notice that Canada seems to play down to the level of the opposition. The urgency and intensity levels they are capable of just aren't there. Lets get more physical but only by choosing hit opportunities carefully.

Oh yeah, and feed some body to Ohlund just for the hell of it.

I'm surprised that it took the turns that it did, but naturally i didn't doubt that Canada wouldn't take it in the end. The closer to the end of the game you get against the Canucks the dangerous it gets... I don't particulary look forward to fridays game lol, we have a bad streak of games against team Canada.

Still a good game by Norway, they can be really proud of what they achieved! But when Canada started to hit people in the 2nd period the Norwegians really looked like schoolboys...if CAN had gone on like that a lot of Norwegian players would have needed 2-3 weeks in a sanatorium to recover (foremost Jakobsen, brave small guy).
Norway showed how it COULD work to get on the nerves of a superstar team: discipline in defense, not losing positions, good goaltending (although Grotnes power was visibly gone later in the game) and an accurate PP to score some goals...
But nevertheless it's pretty much a mismatch and basically a walk over for the big guys.

I think Norway played quite well initially, but they just don't have the physical presense to keep up with a team like Canada over a full 60 minutes. They did show real determination, though, and kept the game interesting, even when they were really no longer in it in any meaningful way. I'm glad they'll be back again next time.

norway played 7 games and won only one, and still it will finish most likely 8th... that's..i don't know which word could describe it :D win the right games

Grotnes played a couple of good games but last games were not so good for him. Agreed with most of Rex said, but norways PP would have been better in this tournament

the beginning of their game vs the big hosts was ok, but at certain point it inevitably started getting into something ugly for team norway.
