Bad injury for Sprunger (SUI) as teammate defencman take a direct shot and puck hits him to head - everything goes bad for SUI tonight.

What the hell happened with Furrer?
It looks like he was sure he shot to opponent's goal.

    Wow....

    Thanks for posting that.

We'll let this thread go for about a day, then merge with the game thread to keep things tidy around here...

ahahhaahahahaha he must have bet for his team lose before the game.

6-0 switzerland was much weaker than i thought. But they have always lost these more important games.

That's what happens when a Thursday, May 15th is falling on Sunday, Friday the 13th....

Or if you want too much and get everything - everything turned against you.

But at least Furrer has scored the highlight reel no. 1 goal. However, he didn't celebrate it - so Sugawara's was definitely better...

Otherwise SWI did everything right and showed what would have been possible with the necessary luck: equal amount of shots up to end of 2nd period, more face-offs won, at least as many hard hits and almost as many scoring chances when RUS was on PP.

This is a solid foundation to build on - and if luck should sometimes somehow find its way home - then welcome to WC 2009 in Switzerland...
