While compiling this group Jukka Jalonen had two guidelines. He didn't want to use any of the players that had played in the Karjala Tournament and he didn't use any players from JYP or Blues. Due to Blues's CHL success they had to reschedule one of their games to December 17th, the day before the tournament in Moscow starts. So no Blues or JYP players are available. I find it very annoying that the SM-Liiga couldn't make the original schedule in such a way that Blues (and Kärpät) would have any games during the Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays of CHL game weeks. Shouldn't be too difficult?

Great to see Alexander Salak in the Czech national team. He has had a good season but in the one time when the head coach of Czech R. came to Turku to see his play Salak let in 3 goals and was substituted in quick fashion. Czech R. has the most international team this time around with players from five leagues and only 8 players from the Czech Extraliga.

    Finland- Russia 1-4 :(
But we play very good in the first period, but Russia was very much better after it.
Sweden- Czech Republic 2-6. The Czechs scored three goals at only 1 minute 13 seconds, from 0-2 to 0-5.

    They were pretty good actually.

Now their teammate Modig pretty much won the game for Czechs.

I don't think that Modig can be blamed for the loss. He didn't have much help from his teammates.

Besides that, the Czech team played good and were very effective in their counter-attacks.

Is it just me or did anyone else noticed that referees on EHT tourneys are year by year worse? Cause Cze/Rus match was just pure joke. And other matches werent any better.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
    Better now?
