    Russia MHL - Molodezhnaya Hockey League


    MHL - The first panrussian junior league. It will feature 21 junior teams from the KHL splitted in two conferences. The first 16 teams will fight in the playoffs for the Kharlamov Cup. Players from 17 to 21 years old can play, but teams can have an exception for 16 years old. Two import players are allowed. In February-March 2010 there will be a qualification round (for the teams not in the MHL) and the winner will play in the MHL 2010-11.

    will there be a net stream of matches? What about web page? Will be it made? And cup, any photo?

    It's still early for all this. In June the last things will be rectified and thus hopefully we'll have a website etc

    It's dificult to explain. Word pesets (песец) simetimes used in russian as replacement for word pizdets (пиздец) which means something like "oh s***" or f***

    Apparently CSKA is having a vote for the new name, and "Red Army" is leading

    other possibilities include Red Stars, Stars, Red Cavalry, Mustangs, Guards, and Battalion

    I read that if Jekaterinburg will play in MHL their team name is proposed to be called "Red Wings" in english translation...

    Seagulls?? They got to be kidding,, The is city not even near a sea.. if get my point. I would understand if St Petersburg would name their team to it be that but Nizhny Novgorod.

    It's a mistake)
    Nizhniy Novgorod team is called simply "Gull" (Chaika by russian).
    It doesn't mean a bird, it means a car.


    It's a legend car for automobile factory Gaz, that placed in Nizhniy Novgorod.
