Some of the names listed include special Slavic characters so I am going to list them the way they are spelled in Slovenian language. In addition, Albin Felc's last name is misspelled.

    Zvonko Šuvak
    Janez Petač
    Franc Žbontar
    Matjaž Sekelj
    Ivan Ščap
    Jože Kovač
    Drago Savič

    Jeff,

well, old Yugoslavia is one of my favourit statistic..... but very hard to find. I got some infos from my friend from Germany (former IIHF-Archivar) and from a friend from Slovenia. What I heard is, that the official stats from the former YUG are by the Slovenian Federation. I've asked several times the Federation, if there is any chance to get the stats (or a part of them). The answer was always the same. "We wanna publish the stats / infos in the next time in the Net". But I hear this now since many years. Infos about Albin Felc I found only in the book "Nas Hokej" from Dr. Andrej Stare from Ljubljana. A very good book - but with lot's of mistakes (sorry Dr. Stare....). But this book is still the only known, or existing book about YUG history. I remember, that from the 70ies still two final tables are uncomplete. Only the played games, goals +/- and the points are available. It seem's nobody knows the won/tied/lost games each team and nobody knows the schedule/scores....

But I do not give up. Maybe some day, the Slovenian Federation accept or allow, that I can visit the Federation and make copies from the older stats.... maybe... but for that, I've first to ask the Federation again...
    Cheers, Franco

There is a guy who posesses some written material from Yugoslav championships who is also a member of Serbian hockey forum at:

    http://www.hokej.co.yu/board/

There is an English speaking topic in the forum so I suggest trying to contact him there.

    Hi Guys,

There is another book that does cover Yugoslavian history, not great detail, but does have some stuff. It was printed in 2006, "Ice Hockey in Slovenia, 1926-2006". It does have year
by year national team rosters from 1939 with small paragraphs on each world championship or Olympic Games played. Some bios of top players and top hockey families, players drafted
by the NHL, lots of photo's. No yearly club standings, but some detail.

    Regards,
    David
    Please help.

    At the U19/U18 Level
    1969 EJC Pool A
    1969 EJC Pool B

    1971 EJC Pool A
    and more!

    At the U20 Level
    1994 WJC Pool C
    1995 WJC Pool B
    1995 WJC Pool D
    1996 WJC Pool B
    1996 WJC Pool D
    1997 WJC Pool B
    1997 WJC Pool C
    2000 WJC Pool B
    2000 WJC Pool D

There are articles about following players from Jesenice Hall of Fame available in slovenian language at hkjesenice.si:

Franci Košir, Edo Hafner, Zvone Šuvak, Rudi Hiti, Drago Mlinarec and Murajca Pajič.

Should anyone be interested in any of them, I can translate it to english. Basicly it's more or less their carreers in chronological order, with some personal stats as well.

There's also a book Hokej na ledu written by ex Ljubljana player dr. Milan Betetto. But as I remember it focuses mostly on Ljubljana and Olimpija although it has some other informations as well and is more generaly hockey orientated.

Book was published before 2007 Div I WC by HZS. Information on Yugoslavia before 91 is pretty much the same as in Naš Hokej with 1991 group B WC added.

It does have Slovenian national team done the same way with some stats and more infos on clubs like international competitions played, foreign players in Slovenia, Slovenians playing abroad and some infos on Slovenian champioships with semifinal and final results and winning team rosters.

    Balboa,

I enjoyed the video and this site http://www.ossrb.org/takmicenjakalen...1/juniori.html.

Are there any websites that may have league information or stats from the 1970's.

Just purchased this book and received Saturday "Ice Hockey in Slovenia, 1926-2006"

Was expensive but well worth it since it is all in English.

The book I have is called Ice Hockey in Slovenia. It was a supplement in English.Hokej Na Ledu V Sloveniji would be title in Slovenia. It just lists the top Scorer from1947-1990/91.It also lists the top 34 scorers... career totals not each season of Yugoslav National Championships. My interest is only in rosters and player stats from the 1960's and 70's.The book I have has Jesenice goal scorers for 1957 and 1987/88 and Olimpija for 1971/72.Wish it had more.

Snapshot are you the person that has the site Eliteproprospects ? I have found some rosters and stats for Medvescak on that site.

The book doesn't have season by season.Only Career totals.I am also looking for season totals.

I know the Eliteproprospects site has his season by season from 1963/64-72/73 and it has Gojanovic from 64/65-73/74 but can't guarantee how accurate.

Those stats are accurate because all those stats I sent to admin of Eliteprospects. All stats I collected in national library in old newspapers. The problem that bugs me is following. Croatian newspapers back then didn't record asissts, only goals, at first time I thought that asists didnt count in whole league, but now you gave me Renaud's stats and I see there are asists. Next time when I go to NL, I will try to seek for sloveninans newspapers maybe there asists are recorded.

Jeff, it is a wrong information! At the 1978-79 season Albin Felc was a player-coach of HDK Cinkarna Celje. Franci Zbontar with his brother Marjan were transferred from Jesenice to Celje before 1978-79 season also. I'm sure! I can send pictures from Celje newspapers!

    Gentlemen!
I wrote an information at Yugoslavia newspapers, that at season 1985-86, foreign players allowed to play at Yugoslavia national championship. I found these names:
    Partizan Beograd:
    Vladimir Kostka (CSSR)
    Vladimír Bednář (CSSR)
    Francis Matichuck (Canada)

    HDK Cinkarna Celje
    Leszek Kuczyński (Poland)
    Paweł Michno (Poland)
    Józef Chrząstek (Poland)
Zenon Hajduga (Poland) - Head coach

Does somebody know which foreign players were at the rest of Yugoslavia teams?

I have some additional infos, unfortunatelly not complete...

HK Crvena Zvezda Beograd had a player named "Anderson". Well, maybe his name was Andersson, but I don't know... first name unknown..... there is a second one with the name "Bubnik" or "Bubnic". Czech or Yugoslav? No idea...

HK Jesenice seem's played without a foreignerthe whole season.

HK Kranjska Gora probably the same. No foreigner the whole season.

HK "Kompass Olimpija" Ljubljana had some players/names, which could be foreigner. "Rezek", "Majnik", "Bratina". But absolutelly not sure about this.

HK Autoprevoz Maribor, maybe with no foreigner the whole season.

HK Vojvodina Novi Sad the same.

HK Bosna Sarajevo have had the following foreigners: "Jamieson" (CAN), "Jokat" (CAN), "Haword" (CAN).

HK Medvescak Zagreb have had two foreigner: "Allison" (?), "Sullivan" (?).

This information I found in the old Newspaper "SN" (""Sport Novostni" ?? Not sure about the correct name). So far I know, there was one from Zagreb and one from Beograd. I have some clips from both.
    Cheers, Franco

Crvena Zvezda - Anderson, Beradikurti, Istej (from NA) and Adamik (CSSR); Bubnic is Serbian/Yugoslavia
Kompas Olimpija - Rish (from NA)
    Vojvodina - P.Stranger, F.Stranger (from NA)

Names are from Pristina newspapers "Sport", same it was in Belgade.
A-light-in-the-dark: Sofia Bulgaria, Skopje Macedonia, Sarajevo & Pristina :)

Rezek probaby was Damjan Režek, Majnik probably was Jure Majnik, both were Yugoslavian. I think there were these players - Celje newspaper wrote "arrive from Ljubljana".

Jamieson maybe Don Jamieson, but I'm not sure. Jokat, I think, means Brian Jokat. Haword - no ideas.

Adamik, most likely, was Petr Adamík. The rest of players - no ideas
