I've asked Al-Ain directly = they do not know the scores....
I've asked the Camels = no answer received
I've asked the Newspaper "The National" = so far, no answer....
Ive asked my friend Michal Travnicek = actual no answer, but I believe, he has the contact to the UAE.... so I'm still hoping, at least, he knows more...

There is a website that kinda helps out but no one has been updating for most of the season. I have done so and even though it's a little messed up you can get the idea (standings are upside down)

    Standings http://www.uaeihf.ae/new-site/view_round.php?id=1
results (not all game sheets are in) http://www.uaeihf.ae/new-site/view_r...d=1#fragment-2

Playoffs start tonight (Camels vs Storms and Vipers vs Scorpions) and I will try to keep this current - TRY!

    GO CAMELS GO

Al Ain won the title over Dubai Mighty Camels 4-0 in the deciding game.

A look at the league, and the UAE's preparation for the Challenge Cup of Asia and WC's in Luxembourg: http://www.thenational.ae/apps/pbcs....966/1004/sport

Great article. I can only imagine what it would be like for those players, their first organised hockey league and to play against teams of mostly-Canadian expats. To call it "an eye-opener" is no doubt the understatement of the year. With a few years of this league under their belt, the Emiratis might just find themselves to be very competitive in the lower-tiers of the Worlds.

Now the biggest question will be how their junior development program will come along. Hopefully we'll see them grow into the junior competition ranks (either U18 or U20) soon, and be competitive there as well.

    Hi goaliegray,

there is still a small confusion for me.....

I found out, that the regular season was over 16 games, correct? Do you know, if all games were played?

When started the playoff, and how was the modus? In the meantime, I found the scores from the three final games. But I've no idea, how the semifinals were played.... were the semifinals "best-of-one", or, "best-of-three"?

Any help from your side is much appreciated.
    Cheers, Franco
