Crosby's Game winning goal in different languages

Local radio broadcast this short compilation of Canada's OT winner from different broadcasts around the world.

The feeds are (in order of play):

    English - US (NBC)
    French Canadian - Canada (RDS)
    English - UK (BBC?)
    French - France
    Italian - Italy
    Norwegian - Norway
    Korean - South Korea

Cool to hear hockey called in different languages (clips are very short unfortunately).

Download from here: http://www.team1040.ca/podcast/blake..._12_Hour4~.mp3 and listen between 16:00 and 22:25.

This podcast will probably only be available for a couple of days.

It's on youtube if you look for it, it's got more feeds from more places as well. Search for "The 'IGGY' Heard Around The World"

The French make everything so exciting! There announcers really appreciate great moments, even if it's not their team. I would watch a snail race if the French broadcasted it.
In the US, our equivalent is Gus Johnson. Gus does NFL, some NBA, and a lot of college basketball (if anyone is familiar with 'March Madness', it's where he got his fame). He is highly regarded and at least in my circle of sport loving friends, the most exciting announcer. If you youtube gus johnson, you'll get a bunch of his work. He drops a lot of memorable one liners and makes anything and everything exicting and dramatic....I just wished he called hockey because he'd give it ratings.
"By Soviet standards I'd always been considered an offensive centerman. Phil Esposito and Bobby Clarke forced me to play a more defensive style. The experience made me a better all around player," -Vladimir Petrov commenting after the 1972 Summit Series
