germany's chances are by 5%, expect a clear Russian victory, but hey, who cares? we are much further than we ever hoped...

German fairy tail will come to it's end on Saturday.I can't see them winning against Russia, they'll surely give 120% of their strength on ice but even then Russia is better.

No way that they can win in this game.

Great, great tournament by Germany, but Russia will steamroll them in this game.

Pavel Datsyuk, great deffensive play and great finishing.

Russians proved their quality, after trailing for a long time they managed to come back and win.
I believe that this was hardest challenge on the tournament for them.

I really hope Germany takes brozne medal. They played great tournament. They are only team that managed twice to keep score against the Russians so close.

Russia of course will take it's third straight gold.

I hope too, but I believe that this defeat "killed" them. They're very disappointed and it's hard to find motivation in bronze medal game.

Swedes are more experienced and they'll win it.

Maybe, but I still believe that German's will find enough motive, after all that is bronze medal game, and Germany waits on medal since 1976...

I missed it, what happened with Gogulla? Anyways, it's a tough loss, but hey, I don't think many of us here expected Germany to play that close, so that's a moral victory right there. And when they're playing for bronze, no matter the outcome it's still very good for the Germans, as you compare how far they came from last year's WC and you have to be proud of them.

After gaining the Russian zone and being challenged by a Russian he circled and played the puck towards a trailing teammate at the blue line...the puck was intercepted by Datsyuk who rushed down the ice and scored the goal...awful giveaway.

Germany fought as much as they could and I really admire that. However I seriously hope that a team which bases it´s game on destroying the game of it´s opponent and just sits back and waits for the opponents mistakes, will not win the bronze medal here.

And IMO maybe Russians will finally give 100% at least in their last game? I´ve seen almost all of their games and in none of them it seemed like they were playing up to their fullest.

Again - what an amazing tournament by the Germans!

Win or lose today against Sweden, German hockey fans should be very, very proud of their national team.
